This slim volume (83 pages) was written for students of history, although anyone who wants to write a paper or article would also find this book of interest.

It discusses historical sources, both primary and secondary, and the values and drawbacks of each. It also gives instructions on how to write book reviews, summaries, bibliographies, short essays, historiographic essays and how to revise and edit papers. There are even exam-taking tips. There is extensive information on the proper ways to quote and how to avoid plagiarism (24 pages worth).

The Internet as a source is mentioned in the book, although the author says to be very careful in evaluating the accuracy of such material.

This book is easy to read and full of vital information.
