The Greater Portland Area Costumers' Guild is trying to build an event called the
Portland Costume Symposium
It would be devoted to Costume, its uses, and its creation - in all their myriad forms.
The event will center on
- workshops, discussion groups, and lectures with
- an Exhibit Hall,
- a Dealers' Room,
- at least one Dance, and hopefully
- a Masquerade.
We also plan to have representatives from a wide variety of re-enactment and "live" F/SF groups and costume-, textile-, and embellishment-related guilds.
